BOOKING CONDITIONS
Please read carefully the following conditions, the basis for your relationship with Petra Nights Tours.
LATEST POSSIBLE BOOKING
You have to make your reservation in writing at least 24 hours in advance for day tours and 48 hours in advance for overnight tours.
BOOKING PROCEDURE
You may book via email or our website. The person who makes the booking must confirm acceptance of our booking conditions on behalf of all persons named on the booking. You are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the personal details, flight details or any other information supplied in respect of yourself and any other traveler on the booking. We will arrange the services and send you a confirmation letter by email. You must check your emails on a regular basis, reconfirm the confirmation letter and pay the deposit.
CONFIRMATION LETTER
You should print a hard copy of your confirmation letter. It is your responsibility to check the confirmation letter and to let your tour consultant know immediately in the event of any error or inaccuracy.
PAYMENT
A deposit of 25% per person of the total price is required to secure your booking. Receipt of deposit will be taken as an understanding by Petra Nights Tours that the customer has checked their confirmed travel arrangements and has read and agreed to the booking conditions.
The remaining balance needs to be settled at the latest 14 days before tour start.
MODE OF PAYMENT
We accept the following payment methods only:
a) Advance payment can be made through telegraphic transfer to our bank until 14 days before tour start. Our banking details:

b) Advance payment can be made through Master/ or Visa credit card, a secure link to send the data will be provided. A passport copy of the credit card holder is required to verify your identity. You will be charged in Jordanian Dinar, conversion rate is 1 USD = 0.708 JOD.
CANCELLATIONS
Cancellation requests need to be sent in written form. The following scale of charges applies:
From the Date of Booking to 31 Days of Notice we charge a lump-sum operating cost:
100.00 USD per ready-made tour package booked directly on our website without modifications.
150.00 USD per package created and booked as a customized tour.
30 to 15 Days of Notice: 25% cancellation fees of the entire package price.
14 to 01 Days of Notice: 100% cancellation fees of the entire package price.
A one-day trip can be cancelled free of charge up to 08 days before tour start. After that date cancellation fees will be 100%.
There will be no refund for cancellation of unused services on or after commencement date.
For group tours (3 rooms and more) a different cancellation might apply which depends on the hotel policy and will be advised separately before payment.
In case you decide to cancel the tour due to new erupting violent conflicts in neighbouring countries above cancellation fees apply.
In the event of Force Majeure, significantly affecting the performance of the tour or the transport to the destination, you can opt for:
a) The deduction of an administrative fee of 100 USD per booked package and the rest of your payment as credit.
b) A refund minus unrecoverable costs.
A Force Majeure Event is an unusual and unforeseeable circumstance beyond control of Petra Nights Tours. It includes but is not limited to war; riot; natural disaster; fire; flood; weather conditions; pandemic; epidemic; technical problems with transport; outages or power failures; acts of God.
REFUNDS
A refund will normally be made to the same account and using the same method used for the original payment. Bank charges or credit card charges are not covered by us
PRICES
All prices for our tours are advised in United States Dollars (USD). They are based on tariffs at the time of printing. Petra Nights Tours reserves the right to vary the cost of the tour if necessary by reason of currency fluctuation or cost increase. Once full payment has been received by Petra Nights Tours no surcharges in respect to currency fluctuations will be applied.
ITINERARY CHANGES
Petra Nights Tours reserves the right to amend the itinerary or timetable for reasons such as service requirements, road or weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances.
HOUSE RULES
Petra Nights Tours reserves the right to refuse potential customers and stop the service for customers in Jordan exhibiting insulting, threatening, abusive or violent behaviour.
AMENDMENT
Any amendment has to be sent to us in writing. After the confirmation has been sent, any change of tour services made by you will be charged with an administrative fee of 30 USD per amendment.
Though we try to be flexible, we strongly recommend opting for your final itinerary prior to your booking. Requested amendments, especially some days prior to arrival and during the tour, cannot always be considered if the expected complexity is not matching with our operational procedures and personnel capacity.
TRAVEL INSURANCE
It is mandatory to be insured for the duration of your trip. You need comprehensive travel insurance to cover medical expenses, accidents, cancellation, emergency repatriation, personal liability, and loss of luggage.
PASSPORT, VISA & VACCINATIONS
You must familiarize yourself with any visa and health requirements that may be applicable. You are responsible for all entry/exit health and any other documents required by laws, regulations, orders, demands or requirements of countries visited or transited. Please note that passport and visa requirements are not the responsibility of Petra Nights Tours. We will not be held liable for any loss or expense due to the failure to comply with the above. We recommend that you be in possession of a passport valid for at least 6 months beyond your intended stay.
ACCOMMODATION
There will be variations in the size, standard and presentation of rooms and facilities within the one hotel. This is beyond the control of Petra Nights Tours.
CLAIMS
If you encounter any problems, you need to inform your tour consultant whilst on holiday by phone or email. Most issues can be solved quickly.
As tour operator we are not responsible for the management of attractions in Jordan and the official classification of hotels. Complaints of this kind can be addressed to the Ministry of Tourism in Jordan (www.mota.gov.jo) or to the Jordan Hotel Association (www.johotels.org).
LIABILITIES
- Petra Nights Tours is not responsible for delays, any loss, injury or damage and / or expenses due to flight cancellations, flight changes, immigration procedures, accident, mechanical breakdowns, acts of God, weather, sickness, wars, civil disturbances, strikes, riots, fire, thefts, epidemics, defaults or any other causes beyond our control.
- Petra Nights Tours does not have any insurance policy covering the expenses for accident, sickness, loss due to theft, or any other reasons. All baggage and personal property at all times are at the client's risk.
- Our company is not accountable for the quality of services or products excluded from our tour package, like restaurants or shops.
- Petra Nights Tours reserves the right to cancel this agreement in writing, should the 2nd party fail to fulfill the terms and conditions.
