Itinerary

Day 1: Amman Airport - Hotel in Amman

Our representative welcomes you with a signage at Amman Airport after you passed through the customs. Transfer about 50 minutes to your Amman Hotel, check in, remainder of the day free.

Day 2: Amman Hotel - Amman City Tour - Amman Hotel (B)

After breakfast, visit the Royal Car Museum (Tuesdays closed) with the collection of the late King Hussein. Drive to downtown to see the Citadel with the Archaeological Museum, the Roman Theatre, the markets (Souq) and past by the Husseini Mosque and Abu Darwish Mosque (entry not allowed for Non-Muslims). Spend time in Jabal Weibdeh, one of the oldest areas in the city, and Jabal Amman with the famous Rainbow Street where you find small shops and cafes as well as the birth house of the late King Hussein. Transfer to hotel.

Day 3: Amman Hotel - Umm Qais - Jerash - Ajloun Castle - Amman Hotel (B)

0Morning time we drive two hours from Amman to Gadara (Umm Qais), which belonged to the famous Decapolis, a union of 10 cities, founded by Alexander the Great. Here you have an overwhelming view over the north Jordan Valley, the Golan Heights and the Sea of Galilee. We leave to Jerash, the best example of a Roman provincial city in the whole Middle East. Visit the spectacular forum, Roman colonnaded street, the Nymphaeum and the Temple of Artemis. Next stop is Ajloun the great 12th century Islamic castle built around 1184/85 by the famous Islamic leader Salah al-Din. Back to Amman for overnight.

Day 4: Amman Hotel - Madaba - Mt Nebo - Dead Sea Panorama Complex -  Hammamat Ma’in Hotel (B)

After breakfast drive to Madaba, where to find the famous mosaic 6th century map of Palestine in St. George’s church. We proceed to Mt. Nebo, the place where Prophet Moses gazed at the Promised Land before he died. You overlook the Jordan Valley, Dead Sea and parts of the Holy Land. Continue to Dead Sea Panoramic Complex perched atop the edge of mountain range cliffs, offering spectacular views overlooking the Dead Sea and holy land. Time to relax at the bath of Hammamat Ma’in, this hot freshwater mineral spring with waterfalls lies 264 metres (870 ft) below sea level in an amazing natural setting.

Day 5: Ma'in Free Morning - Petra Hotel (B)

Free morning time to enjoy and relax at the Main resort, check out 12:00, transfer to Petra, check in & overnight.

Day 6: Petra Visit - Petra Hotel (B)

After breakfast to the red rose city Petra, the biggest attraction of Jordan. Petra was first established around the 6th century B.C. by the Nabataean Arabs, a nomadic tribe who settled in the area and laid the foundation of a commercial empire that extended into Syria. With the guide pass the canyon, the so called Siq, to see the most beautiful monument: the Treasury. Continue via the Street of Facades to the Royal Tombs and Pharaoh's Castle. The guide says farewell to you at the restaurant area; free time to explore Petra on your own. Overnight Petra.

Day 7: Petra Hotel - Hike to Monastery in Petra - Little Petra Camp (B, D)

Early breakfast, then start to the Petra to the Treasury, Amphitheatre, to the Monastery El Deir. Taking the back trail across mountain ridge to the Baida region which provides spectacular views of the Rift Valley of Wadi Araba to the bizarre landscape of Little Petra, we continue to Little Petra for dinner and overnight. *This route takes minimum 5 hours (depending on how fast you walk). You need a minimum average fitness level to do this part of the tour.

Day 8: Little Petra Camp - Wadi Rum jeep & camel riding - Wadi Rum Camp (B, D)

After breakfast at the camp, travel 1.5 hours southwards to the protected area of Wadi Rum, one of the most impressing desert landscapes in the world. About 9:30 meet your camel guide and the camel. Start to ride towards the red sand dunes through Rum and Um Ishrin valleys. On the way you will have a stop at Lawrence's spring. After looking at the Nabatean inscriptions in Anfashiyeh you leave camels to cross a sand dune, where a jeep will join you for a lunch and rest in the shade of the mountain. In the afternoon, by jeep you visit natural rock bridges in Jebel Burdah and Um Fruth. You have the opportunity to climb the latter if you wish so. Then walk through Abu Khasheba canyon. The Bedouin guide will wait you at the end of the canyon and drive you to the sunset place before going to our camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 9: Wadi Rum Camp - Aqaba short round - Aqaba Hotel (B)

After breakfast at the camp, transfer to Rum village, transfer to Aqaba, short round around the city to have an impression, transfer to Aqaba hotel, rest of the day is free. Overnight Aqaba.

Day 10-11: Aqaba Leisure (B)

Free day to relax, try water sports and enjoy the Red Sea Aqaba. No service provided.

Day 12: Aqaba Hotel - Dead Sea Hotel (B)

Latest check out 12:00, transfer to your Dead Sea hotel, with 400 meters below sea level, the Dead Sea is the lowest point on earth, where ever since the days of Herod the Great, people have flocked to in search of its curative secrets. The area is characterized by high annual temperatures, low humidity and high atmospheric pressure, the air is extremely oxygen rich. With the highest content of minerals and salts in the world, the Dead Sea water possesses anti-inflammatory properties, and the dark mud found on its shores have been used for over 2000 years for therapeutic purposes.

Day 13: Dead Sea Leisure (B)

Day 14: Dead Sea Hotel - Amman Airport (B)

Latest check out 12:00, depending to your departure, transfer around 1.5 hours to airport to say farewell and board your flight.
